MiraVista Veterinary Diagnostics is the veterinary division of MiraVista Diagnostics, a specialty laboratory in Indianapolis, Indiana devoted to detection and monitoring of systemic fungal infections. The company was founded in 2002 by the renowned infectious disease physician, Dr. Lawrence Joseph Wheat, whose groundbreaking research led to the first Histoplasma antigen test in 1986.
Dr. Wheat and the MiraVista team went on to develop antigen tests for Blastomyces and Coccidioides, as well as antibody assays for these pathogens. The mission of MiraVista is to improve care for patients with mycotic infections through proven assay development, highly accurate clinical services, and availability for consultation with experts in the field.

Our research team is continually improving our existing assays, developing new diagnostics, and collaborating with veterinary partners to publish clinical studies related to our assays.
