Geographic Panel Tests

In an effort to improve efficiency of diagnosing invasive fungal infections, MiraVista offers panel testing. Due to the overlap of endemic areas and clinical findings, testing for multiple fungal pathogens is often necessary. Panel testing helps simplify decision making, decreases turnaround time and cost. In addition, all results are available in one comprehensive report.

Through clinical experience and knowledge gained from thousands of clinical cases, consultations, and decades of fungal testing along with available epidemiologic data, the most efficient test groups have been chosen. These panels were developed considering host species (canine or feline) and for dogs, the location of residence. The map (Figure 1) below helps guide which panel to select. The list of panels and included tests are below.

Disclaimer

1. There is high cross-reactivity between Histo 310 & Blasto 316 and are not included in the same panel.

2. Secondary sample type will be used if insufficient volume of primary sample type.
